1. Install SideAction Saloon. Tap the link in your friend's text, or search the App Store.
2. Open it and tap “Join a Game.”
3. Type the 6-letter code and tap “Join.” You're in: scores show up on both phones as you play.

Got a code? Join on Android

1. Download the app. Tap the Android link in your friend's text, or the Android button below. The app isn't on Google Play yet, so it comes straight from this website.
2. Let your phone install it. Android asks a couple of times because it came from a website: tap “Download anyway,” turn on “Allow from this source,” then tap “Install” and “Open.”
3. Tap “Join a Game,” type the code, and tap “Join.” Then watch the scores come in.

Starting a game? Get your friends in

1. Tap “Start New Game.”
2. Set Round Mode to “Multi-Device.” That's what gives you a code to share. On “Local,” the game stays on your phone only.
3. Add names, then pick your course and games as usual.
4. Tap “Invite” at the top of the scorecard, where your code is, and text it to your friends. They follow the steps above.

Newer versions ask “Will friends join on their phones?” instead of Round Mode. Leave it on Yes.
